Mitchell Joins HASC in Workforce Development Role
Lisa Mitchell is HASC’s new workforce development program manager. In the role, she’ll develop and advocate for initiatives that train, locate and place qualified professionals in high-need positions.
Mitchell previously worked at the Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) where she was responsible for workforce and professional development. Prior to LAUP, she served as project lead and implementation coordinator at the Worker Education and Resource Center where she planned and organized educational training and professional development programs for labor and management partners working with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
In her new role, Mitchell will serve as an industry representative for workforce development in Southern California. She’ll advocate for expansion of the workforce pipeline, improving career pathways, increasing school partnerships with hospitals, and providing resources to develop critical skills for the region’s workforce. She will also oversee workforce data collection and analytics.
Mitchell holds a degree in marketing and management from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pa.
