Murphy Aboard for 2020-22 NAC Chair Term
Theresa Murphy, RN is serving a two-year term as HASC Nursing Advisory Council Chair.
Theresa Murphy, RN, chief nursing officer at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, has graciously committed to a two-year term as HASC Nursing Advisory Council (NAC) Chair.
In addition, Murphy serves on the board of directors for the Chin Family Institute for Nursing at Cal State Los Angeles. She is also a member of California Hospital Association’s CNO Advisory Committee and patient care administration representative with the HASC Board of Directors.
Murphy says she’s excited to take on the role.
“I am very happy to serve both on the HASC Board and now as NAC Chair to represent nursing and the patient care aspects of the work we do to promote health and wellness,” she said this week.
The NAC is charged with expanding the voice of nursing and patient advocacy in Southern California, and the state as a whole. The council also works on multiple initiatives supporting the profession. Chief nursing officers and academic nurse leaders are invited to participate.
