Need RN Staff to Specialize in the OR? Apply for Azusa Pacific’s Perioperative RN Course
Dear Hospital Executive,
The Hospital Association of Southern California announces that Azusa Pacific University (APU) is offering a peri-operative RN specialty course in spring 2019. The APU RN specialty training is available for hospitals to prepare experienced RNs transferring to a new position in peri-operative nursing at their facility.
Azusa Pacific University:

This 16-week course runs Jan. 19 through May 4, 2019 and includes the AORN Peri-Op 101 online modules, and is facilitated by a MSN-prepared faculty active in perioperative practice — and that is AORN certified.

41.7 BRN Contact Hours from AORN; 58 BRN Contact Education hours from APU School of Nursing Continuing Education Department for didactic/skills/clinical precepted hours.

Eight Saturdays (8 a.m. – noon) hosted at a hospital affiliated partner with APU School of Nursing.

Eleven 8-hour shifts of Preceptorship in the Operating Room on a weekday (M-F) at place of employment (88 hours total).
