OHC Spotlights Cherished Futures
Our Health California, the California Hospital Association campaign that advocates for care equity, this month posts an in-depth look at the Cherished Futures for Black Moms & Babies collaborative.
Cherished Futures is an ongoing effort led by HASC’s Communities Lifting Communities initiative to address widespread inequities impacting Black women and their children. Over the past year and a half, the campaign’s goals have advanced following a series of deep community discussions and changemaking projects led by five HASC area hospitals.
This month’s Our Health California post shares insights from CLC’s Susan Harrington, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center’s Dr. Deepjot Singh, California Hospital Medical Center’s Frances Davies, Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital’s Tammy Turner, and others.
Read, view and listen to the Our Health California piece here. Two additional postings on Cherished Futures are in the works, says Joseph M. de Leon, CHA’s Digital Communications Director.
Our Health California is a community of more than one million people dedicated to building a healthier society by advancing equal access to affordable, high-quality health care for all.
