HASC Strategic Partner Wipfli, a leading accounting and business consulting firm with a focus on health care, invites association members to attend a no-cost Healthcare Connections webinar this coming Tuesday. 

Presented by Wipfli’s Jane Jerzak (photo), the session explores the Public Health Service Act, Section 2718, which mandates pricing transparency for hospitals. Under the rule, hospitals must list standard prices for 300 “shoppable services,” as well as the lowest prices they will accept from consumers paying out-of-pocket. The rule also requires pricing information to be made public. Hospitals not complying could be subject to monetary penalties.
