Save the Date: Nursing Span of Control on Sept. 14 in Newport Beach for C-Suite
Please mark your calendar for Thursday, Sept. 14 to join FutureSense and the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) for a morning exploring Nursing Span of Control in hospitals.
As a part of taking proactive efforts to address this challenging issue, HASC tasked its Nursing Advisory Council to investigate and explore relevant academic research, as well as practical solutions to help the C-Suite make informed and effective decisions about the widespread impact Span of Control has in hospitals. The goal is to help organizations move past instinctive decision-making about Span of Control and staffing – towards informed, intentional decision-making in this area.
We invite the entire C-Suite of your organization to join us for this stimulating discussion as we explore:
- The impact of Span of Control on nurse managers, staff, and patients;
- What factors within hospitals impact the Span of Control of nursing leaders; and
- Spend time exploring actions and activities that senior hospital leaders can take to actively monitor and manage nurse manager Span of Control within their hospitals and health care systems.
The event will be hosted at The Innovation Lab in beautiful Newport Beach, Calif. The morning will consist of a three-hour workshop that allows for speakers to dive deep into the Span of Control issue, for leaders who have successfully tackled this issue to share their stories, as well as for participants to bring their Span of Control challenges to the table for brainstorming and action planning.
A more detailed invitation will follow in the next few weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Teri Hollingsworth.
