Registration is open for Developing, Measuring and Documenting Employee Competence, a HASC educational program scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Moseley-Salvatori Conference Center at Good Samaritan Hospital – Los Angeles. Sign up today!
This one-day workshop provides in-depth explanations of The Joint Commission competency assessment standards, and an opportunity for managers to develop and redesign the content of their department competency tools.
Participants will learn to compare competency skills against the essential duties of a job description and to differentiate between competency and a job-specific duty. Attendees are invited to bring a copy of one of their competency tools to the seminar.
The course is taught by Emelda Latham, a human resources consulting expert for hospitals and health care systems. Program cost is $270 per person for HASC member hospitals.
