SpeedTrack Configures Information to Your Terms

September 18, 2020

HASC Endorsed Business Partner SpeedTrack understands that the 21st century requires a new paradigm for information technology — one in which the consumers of information determine what information is valuable, when they need it, and how to view it!

Traditional solutions deliver preconfigured dashboards and canned reports to answer questions deemed critical for you to know. The problem is that:

  1. It is impossible to design a dashboard or report to answer every potential question or address unanticipated information needs.
  2. Oftentimes it is what you don’t know that is most critical — how can you design a system that reveals questions you haven’t thought of asking?

The solution to this problem requires a system that integrates the knowledge, experience and inquiry of the user with guidance to insights.

What is an insight?

  • An unrecognized truth.
  • An observation that causes us to reexamine existing conventions and challenge the status quo.
  • A discovery about the underlying motivations that drive actions.

SpeedTrack’s key innovation (a total of eight granted patents) is a system that interacts with people’s intuition and experience while continuously exposing/guiding them to insights. For example, say you want to hire specialists who will meet the future needs of the community your hospital serves. You indicate the geographic area you are interested in (using your mouse to choose the county or city, or a range of zip codes), and the system instantly responds with every relevant path to insight (by facility, payer, MS-DRG, service line, diagnosis, procedure, demographics, etc.).

Clicking your mouse, you project the patient volume for the next three years by service line and payer. You notice that MediCal and OB is declining rapidly while the managed Medicare volume associated with orthopedics, general surgery and cardiac services is projected to increase significantly. You export the report into Excel and share it with your team. This is all done in less than three minutes.

Through SpeedTrack’s partnership with HASC, the firm is working with members to deliver powerful, cost-effective and easy-to-use solutions for their most pressing information needs. SpeedTrack offers subscription solutions for:

  • Strategic planning and business development using statewide all payer data.
  • Population health solutions for ACOs using claims data.
  • Demographic and population projections and mapping using U.S. Census data.
  • Provider data by specialty and hospital affiliation.

SpeedTrack is also co-developing custom solutions with members.  Think of the firm as a concierge IT solution service. Please contact SpeedTrack CEO Jeff Pratt to schedule an interactive meeting with your team to learn more. Contact Pratt at (949) 378-3485 or Jeff@SpeedTrack.com.
