The California Hospital Association and HASC are focused on California Department of Public Health policies that impact hospitals. Both are busy advocating on your behalf — and the department is introducing positive changes in response.
Two important association actions address CDPH issues this week.
First, a third-annual Los Angeles CDPH Roundtable happens on Thursday, Feb. 8. More than 70 HASC member participants are scheduled to meet with about half a dozen CDPH representatives at the event.
On Friday, Feb. 9, a one-hour call — tailored for hospital and system CEOs in Los Angeles County — takes place at 1 p.m.
The call offers a chance to hear directly from CDPH leadership on how the agency is addressing Los Angeles County hospitals’ concerns with the Centralized Applications Unit and accelerated activities to reduce the backlog of change-of-service applications. In particular, call moderators will address challenges and work process issues related to the Los Angeles County District Office and its relationship to CDPH. The call also will include time for thoughts and questions.
Please contact CHA Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Perrott at dperrott@calhospital.org, or Vice President Clinical Performance & Transformation Debby Rogers at drogers@calhospital.org to join the call – or with questions.
