Huntington Hospital’s Pamela Weatherspoon is lead speaker at HASC’s continuing DEI roundtable series this month.

HASC hosts its next Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Roundtable from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 8. Pamela Weatherspoon, Huntington Hospital Vice President, Enterprise Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will share a view of how the Pasadena facility is conducting its own DEI initiative.

Weatherspoon’s talk will cover:

• Developing a long-term organizational strategy through using assessment tools and resources to help guide and measure internal and external systems, processes, and opportunities.
• Collecting and utilizing REaL (Race, Ethnicity and Language) and SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) data to measure high-quality care and address disparities.
• Launching a Diversity Supplier Program to drive the economic health of the communities served.
• Strengthening and implementing workforce diversity strategies to create a more inclusive and equitable culture.

Weatherspoon’s presentation will will be followed by an open discussion /  Q&A and a discussion of next steps.
