Workforce Development Initiative Supports Hospitals’ Access to Trained Employees
HASC’s workforce development initiative is a multi-pronged effort to address workforce needs across the region — especially in areas impacted by a shortage of trained and qualified employees.
Its most prominent program is the ongoing Specialty RN Shortage Initiative, which is creating connections between nurse education programs and area hospitals. Other programs include the Slingshot Initiative, which supports training for in-demand skills, and Health Career Center, an online job board that reaches almost 3 million health care professionals.
