Yolo County has joined the ReddiNet® emergency services network. With Yolo County’s enrollment, more than 67 percent of California’s population is now served by ReddiNet, the emergency communications system.
Located adjacent to Sacramento, Yolo County is home to over 200,800 residents, as well as Sutter Davis Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children — Northern California, and Woodland Memorial Hospital.
Yolo County has also included five of Sacramento County’s hospitals in its account — as county patients are often transferred to them — and they support any Yolo County mass casualty incidents. These include UC Davis Medical Center, Mercy General Hospital, Sutter Sacramento, Mercy San Juan, and Methodist Hospital.
“We are delighted with Yolo County’s decision to join ReddiNet, and we welcome their first-responders, hospital personnel and residents aboard,” ReddiNet Vice President Soraya Peters said. “With our recent upgrades, ReddiNet is ready to become the emergency communications standard for all of California.”
ReddiNet is a web-based emergency medical communications system that reports hospital, patient and emergency event statuses. The system is used by hospitals, EMS, fire, law enforcement and other health care providers.
