In January 2012, the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation completed its report, “Hospital Industry in Southern California Economic Analysis.” The report outlines the vast economic and fiscal impact of the health care sector based on 175 reporting hospitals of the six-county region served by the Hospital Association of Southern California (which includes the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara and Ventura).
