Is it good policy or just plain politics? A new blog with Marty Gallegos, SVP, Health Policy and Communications, HASC, poses this question related to hot topics of immediate concern to our membership, lawmakers and the public.

For the past 11 years, Gallegos has been the Senior Vice President/Chief Legislative Advocate for the California Hospital Association (CHA). From 2001-2002, he served as Director, California Office of the Patient Advocate (Governor Gray Davis appointment), and from 1994-2000, he was a Member of the California State Assembly representing the San Gabriel Valley. During much of that time, Gallegos served as the Chair of the Assembly Health Committee. His deep Southern Californian roots and extensive statewide health care policy experience will bring a unique perspective to the issues.
