Leader Mindsets: The Key to Unlocking Effective Leadership
Description
The effectiveness of an organization or team rests upon the effectiveness of its leaders and managers. Leaders and managers set the tone for the group. They are responsible for setting goals and carrying them out, they set expectations for employees, and they add rewards, acknowledgment, feedback and discipline.
In a time where hospitals are faced with a variety of financial pressures, a dynamic and changing work environment, increased regulation, and increasing span of control, the job of leaders and managers in hospitals is increasingly difficult.
Research has found that only five percent of leaders maintain the optimum mindsets for these challenging environments. In this session, Dr. Ryan Gottfredson will help leaders harness new strengths to enhance leadership across their organizations.
Course Objectives
At the end of this session leaders and managers will be able to:
- State the power and importance of mindsets in leadership effectiveness
- Identify specific mindsets that drive leadership success
- Appraise the degree to which participants possess the mindsets necessary for leadership effectiveness
- Recognize ways to harness the power of mindsets and enhance organizational leadership
