HASC Education Offerings
Are Now Open for Enrollment
HASC’s education programs provide a cost and time-effective way for health professionals and staff to enhance their skills. Dates have been set for several programs and space is available.
The following programs are open:
LEAD Academy — LEAD Academy’s fall course cycle starts on Friday, July 20, with all six sessions at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare in Pomona. Subsequent dates include Aug. 24, Sept. 21, Oct. 26, Nov. 16 and Dec. 14. LEAD explores skills and strategies for self-development, staff development and running a successful organization. Advanced LEAD Academy — Advanced LEAD Academy’s next course dates include Session 2 on Wednesday, May 23 and Session 3 on Friday, June 29. Attendance at previous sessions is not required. Classes take place at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale. May 23 includes Managing and Leading Effective Projects and Planning Successful Change, with June 29 presenting Coaching for Development and Organizational Politics and Building Trust. Leadership and Charge Nurse: Creating a Culture of Safety — The Joint Commission and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) have recognized that safe patient care begins when hospital units have a level of teamwork that makes all staff feel safe sharing concerns and ideas to improve care. The course is offered on Wednesday, May 16 in Los Angeles and Wednesday, May 23 in Chino. Learn more and register here.
The Conducting an Effective Internal Investigation Seminar — Set for Wednesday, May 23 in Montebello, the seminar is designed for human resources/personnel professionals, select managers, security personnel, loss prevention and risk management and in-house counsel. Comprehensive and detailed, the program teaches the hands-on, practical skills necessary to conduct an internal investigation into any type of employee misconduct claim. The instructor will take you through the process of conducting an investigation. Learn more and register here.
