HASC Social Media Toolkit Educates the Community About Appropriate Settings for Care
Social Media Toolkit
Health care systems are seeing record numbers of people showing up to the emergency department to get tested, evaluated, and treated for COVID-19 alongside non-COVID-19-related illnesses.
As the current surge places continued strain on hospitals and emergency departments, HASC is urging residents with mild illness to seek care in the most appropriate settings, such as urgent care or primary care clinics – or via telemedicine. Additionally, HASC and our member hospitals encourage residents to avoid emergency departments for COVID-19 testing and to visit local community testing sites to determine their COVID-19 status.
HASC and CHA have created graphics and social media messages to help educate the community. Organizations across the area can share the messages by posting and publishing them. Look for more social and other communications resources from HASC’s Strategic Communications team in the days and weeks to come.
