Orange County Coalition Pushes for System Improvements for Patients in Psychiatric Crisis

HASC represented a community-based coalition at the Dec. 9 Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, calling on the Board to adopt as a Strategic Financial (Budget) Priority system improvements that would lead to expedited care for patients in psychiatric crisis.

CalOptima Board Approves Recuperative Care Demonstration

The CalOptima Board of Directors approved a staff recommendation this month to use Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) funds to support hospital referrals of Medi-Cal patients who are homeless into recuperative care programs upon discharge.
