The Inland Region Workplace Violence Prevention Taskforce is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and sharing best practice opportunities related to implementing staff training and reporting workplace violence episodes to meet state regulations according to SB 1299.
The Behavioral Health Services Committee of the Inland Counties
serves as a convener for behavioral health hospitals, County
Departments of Behavioral/Mental Health and other constituent
agencies to share current issues and concerns impacting the
behavioral health system of care in the Inland Area.
The Inland Area Emergency Services Committee convenes hospitals,
emergency medical services (EMS) agencies and providers in the
Inland Area to share current issues and concerns impacting on the
EMS system. They evaluate the need for separate task forces to
address specific issues that would meet for time-limited period
reporting back to the committee, and disseminate and promote best
practices, facilitate adoption of similar programs and policies
across both counties enhancing an Inland Area system of emergency
care.
The Inland Area Continuum of Care Committee identifies and
addresses the state and federal regulatory, public policy and
reimbursement issues impacting a provider’s ability to treat,
transfer and discharge patients across the continuum of care. The
committee collaborates with external resources, promotes best
practices, and facilitates implementation of similar programs and
policies across both counties to help enhance care quality of
care across the continuum of care.
The Inland Empire Hospital Chief Executive Officers
committee serves as a forum for member executives to resolve
local issues, monitor funding and regulate and coordinate
hospital services networks; represents member interests to the
Board of Supervisors, local elected officials and government
agencies. Specialty focus areas include emergency medical
services, public health, indigent care, mental health and other
emerging issues.
The Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) served as
the catalyst to bring hospitals, health systems, and other key
stakeholders together to compile an extensive Community Health
Needs Assessment (CHNA) for the Inland Empire, which includes
Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Working as a cohesive
group to gather and analyze data for various service areas was
vital.
HASC is pleased to announce the new Inland Empire Regional Vice
President, Jan Remm. Remm served most recently as an Assistant
Hospital Administrator at Riverside County Regional Medical
Center for the past five years.
The Inland Empire office represents hospitals in San
Bernardino County and Riverside County. Member hospitals are
representative of many types of facilities, from rural to large
teaching facilities, for-profit to not-for-profit, VA
to behavioral health, and community to
county-owned-and-operated.
