- Leadership and Charge Nurse: Creating a Culture of Safety runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at training provider FlexEd’s Chino classroom facility. The HASC member rate is $115. The course will review concepts taught in Charge Nursing: Leading from the Middle, then expand its focus to help nurses improve customer service, continuous survey readiness and response to critical events. - A webinar explaining HASC’s popular LEAD Academy leadership training series takes place from 10 – 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. LEAD Academy is HASC’s most in-demand education offering. Hundreds of graduates attest to its effectiveness in the health care workplace. - Transgender Healthcare Dignity Model and Certification Program takes place Thursday, Nov. 7 in the Moseley-Salvatori Conference Center, Good Samaritan Hospital – Los Angeles. Providers deliver effective care when addressing patient populations in a sensitive and inclusive manner. Dr. Kristie Overstreet’s dignity-first approach empowers health care professionals to serve transgender and related patients in the most effective and appropriate manner. - A new HASC education offering provides an introduction to the world of Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel 2016 — Part 1 runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at HASC’s downtown Los Angeles offices. The course is designed for students who wish to gain a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel to create and work with electronic spreadsheets.
