HASC Education Programs
Are Open for Enrollment
HASC’s education programs provide a cost and time-effective way for health professionals and staff to enhance their skills. Dates have been set for several programs and space is available for the following programs:
- Administrative Professionals Development Series: The next sequence, Pillars of Leadership, begins Thursday, Aug. 9. It is designed to help administration professionals navigate an evolving executive landscape that now may include responsibilities formerly reserved for executives. Classes continue on Wednesday, Sept. 5 and Wednesday, Oct. 3. Learn more and register here.
- Charge Nurse: Critical Thinking is offered on Wednesday, Sept. 5 in Chino and on Wednesday, Sept. 12 in Los Angeles. The course explores how information analysis can improve quality of thought, and explores key principles and barriers to thinking critically. Coursework will also focus on how the application of critical thinking through the nursing process can help staff arrive at appropriate decisions. The HASC member rate is $100 per attendee. - The IAHSS Security & Safety Certification Preparation Program runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on three consecutive Saturdays: Sept. 8, 15 and 22. Designed for health care safety and security officers, the three-day, eight-hour course is based on International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety, or IAHSS, curriculum. Students can apply tools and techniques to pass the IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer Certification exam. Learn more and register here.
