The HASC Safety and Security Committee provides a forum for issues that impact the safety of patients, staff and the health care environment. These resources can help your hospital gather, analyze and interpret information to improve safety and security. The documents are examples of best practices from member hospitals and can be customized to fit your location. Hospital Emergency Code Standardization Survey
September 2011

This report provides analysis of a 2011 survey conducted by the California Hospital Association (in partnership with the regional hospital associations) to assess statewide hospital emergency code usage. The survey was a followup to one conducted in 2009. The final results illustrate ongoing progress in hospital emergency code implementation among California healthcare facilities.
