HASC-founded National Health Foundation invites members to the opening of its biggest recuperative care center yet – a 62-bed facility in L.A.’s Pico-Union neighborhood. Also in this issue of HASC Briefs, the association works with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to discuss issues related to homeless patients and their discharge from hospitals.

Members Invited to Oct. 12
NHF Recuperative Care Opening

NHF staff welcomed project neighbors to the Pico-Union recuperative care facility during the former sanitarium’s rehabilitation. HASC members are invited to the facility’s opening celebration on Friday, Oct. 12.

Cooperative Symposium to Study
Homeless Patient Discharge Issues

A unique symposium co-organized by HASC, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will discuss multiple issues connected to homeless patients and their discharge from facilities on Monday, Nov. 5. The event will take place at The California Endowment in downtown Los Angeles. 

As of Tuesday, Oct. 23, space for the symposium is no longer available. Interested parties are being placed on a wait list, however.
