Blood Banks, Hospitals Issue Donor Call

LANES Platform Connects L.A. County Providers
to California Immunization Registry, or CAIR

The Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services, or LANES, platform is now connected to the California Immunization Registry, known by the acronym CAIR. The ability to link seamlessly with CAIR is the latest addition to the LANES population health enablement platform, aggregating real-time health information.

Edison Shares County-level PSPS Forecasts

Southern California Edison’s new weather awareness page now gives hospitals and other business customers advanced warning about Public Safety Power Shutoff events. 

Public Safety Power Shutoffs, or PSPS events, are designed to reduce risk of wildfire during high-wind and other fire-weather events. For the past several years, SCE has worked with HASC to keep hospitals up to date on the latest information associated with PSPS events.

Transgender Patient Care: Dec. 9 Spots Open

The DHEI (Diversity, Health Equity, and Inclusion): Transgender Healthcare Dignity and Certification Program educates health care providers on how to deliver the highest-quality care for the transgender, gender-nonconforming, genderqueer and intersex patient community. This unique half-day course covers the eight-unit Dignity Model developed by clinical psychologist Kristie Overstreet, PhD using an interactive lecture approach.

CLC Shares Hospital Community Outreach Efforts

HASC members are invited to attend the 26th Annual Eddy Awards® administered by the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation, or LAEDC.

HASC will be honored in the Corporate Honoree category at an event running from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. HASC President/CEO George W. Greene is scheduled to accept the award.

Past honorees include Cedars-Sinai, Honda, Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles World Airports, Caltech and SpaceX.
