Checks Head to MCAG Program Participants

HASC’s Endorsed Business Partner program is pleased to share some great news this month. Through an ongoing partnership with class action recovery service provider MCAG, the association will be soon distributing more than $224,000 to member hospitals. 

HASC’s partnership with MCAG helps ensure that member hospitals receive their fair share of applicable class action settlements.

Clinical Lab Scientist 2020 Report Is Released

HASC is actively addressing the Clinical Laboratory Scientist shortage across the region and has released its 2020 Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Program Summary Report. 

Working with California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), HASC seeks to fill hospitals’ critical workforce needs for Clinical Lab Scientists — known as CLS for short.

HR 1331: to Boost Mental Health Care Access

April 16, 2021

The pandemic has increased levels of anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders — elevating the need for early interventions and equitable mental health care.

About 25 percent of people experience mental health or behavioral health challenges, but only 43 percent of them receive treatment. Too many people aren’t getting the care they need, which is especially true for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities.
