2020 LEAD Academy Enrollment Is Open

December 13, 2019

Enrollment is now open for HASC’s 2020 Spring LEAD Academy program scheduled for six sessions January through June at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale. 

LEAD Academy is the association’s most in-demand education offering. Hundreds of graduates attest to its effectiveness in the health care workplace. 

Course topics include workload management, collaboration, understanding personality types, motivating employees — and more.

Scheduled dates include Jan. 24, Feb. 21, March 20, April 17, May 22 and June 19.

Student Loan Repayment: A White Paper

Are stipends a new tool to recruit residents to your organization? 

According to a 2019 survey of final year residents by physician recruiting firm Merritt Hawkins, 42 percent of final year residents have over $201,000 in student loan debt. Today, 58 percent of U.S.-trained physicians have at least $158,000 in student loan debt compared to just 38 percent of international medical school graduates.
